I realize that I've let this blog slip quite a bit in the past couple of weeks. I'm sorry for that, because I genuinely enjoy blogging, and just on a personal level, it helps me to keep track of my life. Unfortunately, these last couple of weeks have been jammed with school work, and I simply have not had the time to devote to this. I also haven't had time to many interesting things with my life. Hopefully I'll have a little break before finals, but I'm not anticipating a drastic change in work load until I go home for winter break.

That said, I was able to take a little walk yesterday. I'll be honest, I probably should have spent the time in the library, but after reading one page for the third time, I gave up. So, I took a stroll.

It was only around 5:30, but already dark. It's funny how quick the winter sneaks up on you. I know Solstice is still a month a way, but with the days so short and chilly, it seems much closer. Anyway, this city certainly seems to believe it's winter. The Christmas decorations went up yesterday, and it already seems that the holiday is in full swing everywhere I look. With Thanksgiving only a few days away, I suppose it really is almost that time of year.

During my walk I wandered over to the river, which is beautiful in the dark, and took a few pictures of the Ponte Vecchio.

And that, I'm afraid was the most interesting thing that happened this week. I'm sorry for the lackluster post.

As always, if you have any questions about the Gilman Scholarship or studying abroad, please leave them in the comments, and I will either answer them or try to point you to someone who can.
